Antique Bourbon 1962 Advertsing Display w/ Calendar, Four Roses Whiskey:

A unique piece of vintage bourbon advertising/POS for use in a tavern or liquor store. This was created for Antique Bourbon (owned at the time by Four Roses) in 1962 and features a bold calendar deck in the center of the display.

Antique Bourbon was one of the major brands for Frankfort Distillery, Inc. This company was founded in 1902. They were 1 of 6 companies to receive a permit to distill medicinal whiskey. In 1933 the company bought the Stitzel Distillery on Main Street in Louisville when Stitzel-Weller was formed in Shively. It was later acquired and In the 1960's Seagram dissolved the company. The distillery on Main Street was closed in the 1950's and the Four Roses Distillery in Shively was closed in the 1960's.

The piece measures 17”x11”. It has the logo and a train in molded plastic form on a heavy stock paperboard. The calendar still has many of its dates and they can be changed without damaging the paper, as they are held in by studs that can be unscrewed. As you may want to display a birthday or special date, the remaining dates on the piece are:

The display has a cord on the back to easily hang it. The condition is very nice for the age. Some dings to the corners of the board. The actual bourbon advertising and calendar look great.
