Antique Ben Franklin Statue 15 inches:

I am told this item is British Staffordshire made for the American market. There are no markings anywhere, which may be indicative of an older piece, possible from the1800's. It has a chip under the base and a smaller one at the bottom of the scroll in his right hand. It is crazed all over. The statue was owned by my grandmother who was an avid American antique collector and owned many 19th century pieces. If anyone knows anything about this piece, please let me know.
