Antique Beehive Brass Candlestick with Diamond Pattern, c. 1840 English 12\"
English hollow core cast brass inverted beehive candlestick. The elongated urn form candle cup with bobeshe rests on a short pedestal above a diamond faceted knob. The candle shaft features a waisted interval to an inverted beehive on a conical stepped dome on a footed square base with clipped corners.
Solid Brass beehive candlestick in good antique condition.It measures 12\" tall and 4\" square at the base.Unscrews into 3 sections.No labels or markings - identification and dating are from internet research of similar candlesticks.Pre-owned antique candlestick in good condition. Some tarnish and scratching as expected for the age. No major defects. It probably had a push up mechanism which is no longer there.
