Antique 19c Victorian ,GILT Lemon GOLD, Coved Wood , HUGE Frame fits 25 x 30 in:

Entire size : 33 1/4 x 37 5/8 in.Back insert ( fit ) size : 25 x 30 in. ( exact 25 1/4 x 30 1/4 in. )
Depth: 2 1/4 in.
Front sight view size : 24 3/4 x 29 3/4 in.
Molding width : 4 3/4 in.
Age : c1860-70s gold painted. Sides are unpainted except for some remnant pale yellow ochre or just dark brown, all original finish.
Condition : Good as is vintage condition. Typical scrapes to paint ,scratches, dings/spotting, etc. All common with authentic antique frames. Solid and sturdy still.
NO GLASS ( never had glass or backing)

This large/huge antique lemon gilt gold frame is so beautiful ! Deeper profile with a coved traditional design, and all original finish . This is about 4 times the size of this style frame ,that I usually find. I discovered this in Charleston, SC and it housed a antique portrait from the 1800s.
I was mesmerized with this grand frame as it is SO hard to find large lemon gold frames. So many are in Art Museums and private collections. I took some indoor and a few outdoor pics to show you the details. Read the above specs for all the dimensions you need to know. It has written John Miller Matthew on the back of the frame, which looks more recent to me. It is either the name of the portrait \'s subject or the previous owner of the portrait ( that used to be in here). This frame would be perfect for an antique oil portrait, landscape , original painting, a antique map, or even to be made in to a spectacular mirror. I have a few pics of it outdoors and the first ones where it is more luminous yellow gold are more accurate than the duller ones at the end.
