Up for your consideration rare antique 19C Russian Orthodoxicon of St. Nicholas The Miracle-Maker. Mixed media painting: gold leaf, eggtempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. Inscribed in Church Slavonic, upperleft and right. Saint Nicholas is painted frontally full-figured wearing Bishopclothes, blessing with his right hand and holding Gospels with his left one,and the Holy Trinity above him. Framed. Excellent condition consistent with ageand use. Please, look at the pictures as they are part of the description.
