Antique 19C Brass Armadillo Match Box/Inkwell:

This mid 19th Century model of an Armadillo has a hinged shell lid which opens to hold either matches or inkwell. The brass box has a beautifully molded edged platform base. Measures 7" (from tip of nose to tip of tail) in width and 3 3/4" in height.

Condition very good. Hinge in perfect working condition.
