Antique 1898 Rex Visible No. 4 Typewriter Black + Gold Dark AcademiaThis regal and lovely stylized Rex Visible typewriter from 1898 is in good condition for its age! Cosmetically, the machine is in good to fair shape, but mechanically, it needs some TLC. The machine is dusty, and the keys strike but do occasionally seize. When they did strike, they printed, and the machine advanced. Occasionally, the machine wouldn\'t advance as much as it should, printing over the last letter. The machine needs to be oiled and dusted at a minimum. Everything else I tested functions well. The ding is loud and boisterous on this machine! It does not come with a case. This rare and beautiful machine is quite the find. Made in Chicago, Illinois. A well-made machine with a sharp aesthetic! Perfect for collectors, restoration, home offices and libraries!
