An antique, button-style, tin art medallion made by Columbia Medallion Studios, Chicago.
The company - which began as Chicago Portrait Co. in 1888 - used religious and other artworks to make oversized buttons without the pin on the back. The company's primary business was making these medallions from photographs sent to them by customers, which the company transferred onto a large tin button and sealed it with a finish. The company disappeared in the 1930s.
This pin displays Saint Joseph with the Christ Child and has a hook on the back for hanging.
