The penny pooping dog is an extremley rare bronze piece from 1800s. The dog is pooping an 1896 Indian Head Penny. Originally I believe this piece was separate from the ashtray This ashtray itself is dated 1924 Everdur \"compliments of the American pulley company. I believe at some point the pooping dog was added to this ashtray and soldered on, along with the pewter flower arrangement. The pooping dog is the very special unique and rare piece. I could be wrong on the date of Penny. But my research finds another pooping dog with an 1896 Indian Head Penny.
