ANTIQUE 1859 LETTER PRUDDEN & WILLIS ENON ALABAMA BULLOCK COUNTY:

Please email with any questions. 12\" by 8\" light blue paper with blind stamp upper left corner, dated February 1859, this was sent to hardware merchants in Macon, Georgia from Prudden & Willis. Prudden & Willis sound like they were blacksmiths and wagon makers according to the list of items they are ordering: leather, spokes, axles, hubs, horseshoe iron etc. Mr Prudden writes that he has been disappointed in raising money but if they send the items in the order he will try and send them some money in March or April. He also writes that he has taken Mr WIllis into business with him and directs that the order be delivered to Guerry (Guerryton) Depot via the Mobile & Gerard Rail Road. Since this letter was sent from Enon, I wondered if that meant Enon Plantation which is only 10 or so miles from Guerryton. I was unable to find an answer to my question.
