The shape of he Alebrije is carved from copal wood and then finished with a layer before decorating it with the final design and colors. They are beautiful and each piece is unique and original.

This is an artisanal piece, the techniques is passed generation to generation among artisan families in Oaxaca. The elaboration of one piece could take up to several weeks which start by looking for he copal wood, curing the wood, carving and decoration.
