Wonderful African horserider puppet from the BAMBARA, BAMANA tribe from Mali.
Horses and riders are highly regarded and symbolize wealth, power and strengh. This puppet was carried by a dancer during traditional ceremonies.
Beautiful details and finised with a very nice patina. The puppet is decorated with rope, cloth of natural fibers and a string of glass beads..
