Ernest Joseph King [1878 1956] was an American naval officer who served as Commander in Chief, United States Fleet and Chief of Naval Operations during World War II. Admiral Leahy directed United States Navy operations, planning and was a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Listed for sale is a rare photograph signed by Admiral Ernest Joseph King. The photograph is a formal military image, and the autograph is signed \'\'Ernest J. King\'\' and dated \'\'October - 1945\'\' in black fountain pen. The photograph is a b/w matte finish which measures 7.50 x 9.25 inches with trivial handling wear otherwise is in fine condition. Photographs signed by admiral King are not common, this example is also not inscribed, dated and is a very desirable example of this noted United States naval commander.
