Empire State Building Photograph Vintage New York City Skyscraper 1931 8x10Daredevil performers the Three Jacksons,’ acrobats, Jarley Smith, Jewell Waddek, and Jimmy Kerrigan perform a death defying balancing act on the ledge of the 86th floor of the Empire State Building in Manhattan, New York, on August 21, 1934. The three men performed the act successfully. It took place 1,050 feet above the street pavement with no safety net.
