This beautiful Automeris IO moth form “lileth” is a rare find that can only be found in the Florida Keys. It has been farm raised and is in pristine condition, ready to be added to your collection of unique and exotic insects.
Form “lileth” is different from other color forms of this moth. Males are much more rusty in color and patterning is more subtle than USA mainland io moth species. Females also are very different in color than mainland individuals. These are nearly impossible to find and collect legally. This is a 1-time thing! We found a gravid female at a shopping center in Key Largo and we’re able to get eggs from her that have produced this batch of moths.
With its vibrant colors and intricate patterns, this butterfly is a true work of art. Its wingspan measures approximately 4 inches and it belongs to the family of Saturniidae moths. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of the Florida Keys' biodiversity.
