This is a gorgeous METIS large square FRENCH VINTAGE WHITE PILLOW SHAM or PILLOW CASE in excellent condition, with no tears, rips, holes, or discoloration, and freshly laundered. Metis is a blend of 65% linen and 35% cotton, and is not a pure white but just slightly off white. Most antique bed linens in France were made of metis. This sham measures 27\" by 27\" without counting the 1 1/4\" crocheted edging. The monogram is a fancy \"D\" and is in itself a work of art, and appears in the upper left hand corner of the sham. On the reverse side are small buttons and the opening within which to insert the pillow. Shipping is via first class mail and includes insurance.
