For your consideration a stunning French Baccarat cut crystal inkwell, with extremely elegantly worked neoclassical gilt mounts, intricate scrolling filligree and very finely detailed figural decoration and footed base. The level of detail on this impressively piece is quite extradinary. On top of the lid is an eagle. Two sides depict two maidens holding up bunche of grapes with a eagle between them, and two other sides depict two maidens holding up bunche of grapes with a Napoleon portrait between them. Bronze mounts with discoloration consisten with age. Made in Frande during first half of XIX centurt.A really exceptional Empire figural inkwell for demanding collectors. Height is 8.5 centimeters.
