FROM THE ESTATE OF ANGELA GROSS FOLK of New Jersey...

Rare Antique Shocking Perfume Schiaparelli-1930s.

Overall this bottle and box are in excellent condition with very minor wear to the box if any. Gold thread is present and untouched. It also comes with the custom label from France. It also features the original cellophane that was wrapped around box-cello has tears-Unfortunately this unopened, untouched bottle has shown evaporation over the last 87 years..it is just about 3/4 full..

\"This bottle is a domestic French product, Baccarat model #788, manufactured for Schiaparelli only. It is a tall, upright rectangular shape and features a faceted glass cube as the stopper. The base of the bottle is usually molded with \"Schiaparelli\" and \"French Bottle-this is the 1/2 oz. Bottle at 3 inches tall.\"

\"Shocking was created by Jean Carles in 1937 and was named after the shade of hot pink that Elsa Schiaparelli created for her collections. Schiaparelli was known for actively embracing the surrealist movement (her famous shoe hat ) is all the proof you need) and a lot of her creations took inspiration from Dadaism so it stands to reason that her most famous fragrance is bold, beautiful and unconventional\".
