Chased and gilded bronze alcove clock, with rocaille decoration of flowered scrollsin the Louis XV and Rococo styles. Made in Paris, France during 1750 s´. Original ormolu bronze case with yellow/pink gold tone.Silk thread suspension movementmade by the Master Clockmaker Caquerelle (signed dial) and bronze case made by Gantier (foundry). Case design attributed to Jean-Joseph de Saint Germain.Bronze case made with several separated molds. Hallmarked case and stamped serial number 660.Original condition and working (hour and strike function). No glass for dial. Case in very good original condition. Enamel dial in good condition, with small details around winding holes, but no hairlines.The clock includes original pendulum and a not original key. The clock has been oiled and keeps good time.As i explained, the movement and all functions are working when tested. We cannot however guarantee the movement or any mechanical operation following shipping and therefore recommend getting it overhauled by an expert to adjust it.A really magnificent and very old clock for demanding collectors.Diameter of enameled dial is 14 centimeters (excluding round frame).
