Lord & Taylor, foundedin 1826 by Samuel Lord & George Washington Taylor, had a long and storiedhistory as one of America’s finest department stores. From its groundbreakinghiring of Dorothy Shaver as the first woman to head up a department store; to theiconic holiday windows which inspired Christmas awe and wonder in generationsof New Yorkers, Lord & Taylor was truly “The Signature of American Style” Sadly, it spent its final years of existencebouncing from owner to owner until the pandemic put the final nail in itscoffin.

Annalee Dolls was founded in1955 by Barbara Annalee Davis Thorndike in Meredith, New Hampshire. The dolls were hand-crafted in New Hampshireuntil 2001 when the company moved their manufacturing to factories in Asia.

This highly collectible Annaleedoll stands 10 inches tall and was created exclusively for Lord & Taylor and dates from 1997. It was hand-crafted at the Annalee factory inNew Hampshire. It features open eyes, anopen mouth, brown hair, a green hat with a white feather, holly and berries, a greenjacket and pants accented with ivory lace, white socks, black shoes with whitebows, and holds a pink foil gift, beige felt base with Lord and Taylor shoppingbag. This hard-to-find Annalee doll isin excellent condition.
