Here is an Extremely Rare & Highly Collectible Vintage Circa 1930’s-1940’s Mint-in-Original Wrapper & Unopened New/Old Stock (NOS) American Tissue Mills 12 Royal ‘Hy-GN-iC’ Fancy Crepe Paper Napkins of a Beautiful Easter Holiday Spring Floral Design Featuring, ‘The Easter Bunny and Geese in a Yard with Floral Border Accents & Lines’.Publisher & Crepe Paper Info: The crepe paper is still in its original fully sealed & never-opened glassine paper envelope wrapper and is ‘New Old Stock’ from when we used to sell these types of decorative holiday items in Meibohm’s Art Shop located in Buffalo, NY (since 1901), before we moved to East Aurora, NY in 1957 where we still are located today. The front of the wrapper features the printed company info which reads, \'12 Royal, [Trade] Hy-GN-iC [Mark], Fast Color, Fancy Crepe Paper Napkins, Printed in Water Proof Colors, Made from Chemically Pure and Sterilized Paper, Manufactured by American Tissue Mills, Holyoke, Mass., U.S.A.\' The American Tissue Mills (American Paper Manufacturer, 1899-1953) was founded in 1899 by John Lewis Perkins (1865-1928), located at 12 Crescent Street, in Holyoke, MA and the company was first known as the Japanese Tissue Mills from 1899 until its name changed in November of 1920 to the American Tissue Mills. The Japanese Tissue Mills was originally a consolidation of several paper interests, which was incorporated under Massachusetts laws with one million dollars capital. John L. Perkins was also the owner of B.F. Perkins & Son, manufacturers of paper mill and textile machinery that was named after his father Benjamin Franklin Perkins (1826-1900), with whom he was partner with until his father’s death in 1900, and which was later incorporated in 1906.Size & Condition: The full size as shown is 7” x 14-7/16” (not 100% sure what the full napkin size is though? I assume it’s double that at 14” x 14-7/16” as a full sheet). The Wrapped Crepe Paper is in VeryGood-Excellent Rare+ condition for its vintage age with no real or significant damage, aside from a few tiny outer edge tears in the glassine wrapper from being brittle from age, light crinkling & creasing of the glassine, as well as some corner denting and normal toning of the glassine stock from age, and is being sold “As Is” in its original unused & unopened wrapping—and is thankfully still with the Crepe Paper Napkins! The Napkins inside I assume are in Excellent condition (though I won’t open it) but likely has some normal/minimal toning as well from age. This will make the perfect addition to any American Tissue Mills, Easter/Holiday Ephemera or vintage paper collection. PAYING FOR YOUR ITEM:
