National Old Trails Road guide sign - Cool Springs, Arizona. Up for sale today is this National Old Trails Road red, white and blue guide sign. Made to the exact standards as used between 1922 and 1928 by the Auto Club of Southern California. This guide sign was posted on what later became Route 66 at Cool Springs on the east side of Sitgreaves Pass, and references Kingman and Seligman going east, and Oatman and Needles going west. An original of this style of guide sign, complete with the logo of the Automobile Club of Southern California, would cost many thousands of dollars if it ever came to the market. This is a faithful remake to the correct size (24 x 18) manufactured on heavy steel with the correct layout, fonts and colors. It weighs about 11 pounds. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
