A Strand of Rare Blue Venetian African Trade "Skunk" Beads from the African Trade Y23_0749Venetian African Trade Eye beads dating to the mid to the mid-to-late1800s through the early 1900s. Also referred to as \"skunk\" and sometimes \"thousand eye\" or \"dot\" beads. These particular beads are mostly blue rondels and a few discs, with multi-color eyes, and are quite rare to find. Length of strand 28\" with raffia. 92 beads. The beads are 9-11mm in diameter, 5-9 mm hole-to-hole. Weights and sizes are approximate. Most of the beads are in excellent antique condition, but some have nicks, chips, and scratches as appropriate for the age. A few beads are discolored. Please examine the photos carefully. The wooden ruler on the scale photos is on the metric scale. See the last photo for size/scale. IMPORTANT NOTE.
