65\" Long Handmade Nodachi Odachi Samurai Field Sword Katana Massive Blade Sharp

This is the massive hand forged Nodachi sword, or \"field sword\". The sword was carried by foot soldiers as a counter measure against cavalry attacks. The massive blade would be wielded by two men to cut the legs out from under charging attacks. However, by a skilled and powerful warrior the sword could be used by a single man and had the potential to cut both horse and man apart in a single stroke. During times of peace the sword would be carried by high ranking Samurai as a sign of status. Due to its length the sword would be carried on the Samurai\'s back. Although, this sword was slow, in the correct hands the sword would become unstoppable.

This is a reproduction of the massive Nodachi. The sword has been hand forged with all authentic fittings. This mighty sword is spectacular to behold and would grace any collection.

The Sword includes: a collectors box, sword bag, and cleaning kit.

Attributes of the Weapon:

Blade: The blade of the sword has been hand forged from through hardened 1065 carbon steel. An aesthetic hamon has been added to the edge of the blade.

The blade features a bohi for better balance and audible response when the sword is swung. The sword has a massive tang to match the length of the blade.

Saya: The Saya is wooden with a black high gloss finish. The sageo is black chemical fiber.

Tsuka: The tsuka features a black cotton ito and real ray skin samegawa. The fittings are oxidized copper. The tang is secured by two smoked bamboo mekugi.

This is a binding contract.

1. All items are normally shipped within 2 business days after the payment is received. Please note that we do not ship on weekends, or national holidays. If you make a payment by eCheck, it may take longer since it has to clear your bank first before the order is processed.
2. We may ship your package using a different shipping carrier at our discretion with the same shipping speed. For example, if you select UPS Ground, we may ship your order by FedEx Ground.
3. If you have a PO Box as a shipping address, please be sure to select a shipping method offered by US Postal Service, as UPS/FedEx do not ship to a PO Box. Otherwise, your order may be put on hold until we receive a physical address from you.
4. Once you complete the checkout, you will not be able change or add any items to the order.
5. We will only ship your order to the address that we received from . We will not change the shipping address for any reason.

The cutoff for all orders is 8 AM Pacific Time every weekday. Orders received after 8 AM Monday-Thursday are processed on the following day, and orders received after 8 AM Friday and over the weekend are processed Monday. Any e-mail correspondence after 5 PM Friday will not be answered until at least the following Monday. Upon shipment a tracking number will be sent to the email address registered to your account (not through your messaging system). Please check your spam folders to make sure that it was not inappropriately deleted and make sure your inbox is not full.

How long will it take for my order to get to me after it ships?

It depends on where you are located. All items are normally shipped within TWO business days after the payment is received. Once the order is shipped, please refer to the transit map below for FedEx delivery times from our location. Keep in mind that weekends and holidays do not count as a business day.
