1&The balde was mde of T10 steel,it was Fully hand forged in a completely traditional manner.It has been smelted and pounded(hand forged) to decrease the remain impurities of the carbon steel and better distribute the carbon to form the blank.
2&The blade would be fully hand shaping,and then our swordsmiths has applied clay to the sword to control the rate at which the blades cools when quenced after grinding(rough finishing).Also,the clay ensures carbon does not simply escape during this process.What\'s more,our swordsmith went a step further: Applying different thicknesses of clay to the edge and spine(back) of the blade respectively(Differential hardening).After the clay process,heat treating the blade,then quickly oil and water quenching (tempering) to make the edge(coated with a thin layer)cool faster,while the spine(coated with a thick layer) cools slower.Thus,what began an unavoidable consequence of the process was,a beautiful real hamon was appeared on the balde,turn into a mark of creativity and an element of beauty.
3&The result of this process compounds the benefits of forging the sword with a sofer core.The edge of the blade becomes very hard and strong,able to retain an edge befitting the marvelous reputation of these exquisite weapons.The spines hardens,but does not become as hard,giving the spine a degree of springiness that immensely enhance the resilience of the weapon when swung in actural pratice.
4&Hand shaping the balde after the second time polishing (Finishing the blade),Meanwhile,engraving services will be implemented in this step.(pls contact us through message if you have somehing engrave on the blade)
5&This blade comes with a full length Tang which greatly enhances the strength of the sword while swung.The tang will be filed to match well with the handle,and it will be signed according to your requirements.(pls contact us through message if you want to sign the DATE or NAME on the Tang)
6&Fully hand polished by our experience swordsmith with more than 15 process hand sharpening work by the multiple grade abrasive stone in the most traditional Japanese craftmanship way.Making a mirror-like surface.It is also very sharp.The point of the blade is medium length.
7&Tsuka(Sword handle)：The Tsuka is made of high quality wood wrapped with genuine ray skin(Samegawa), and tightly tied with real silk ITO.Two Mekugi (peg) was nailed to secure the full tang of the sword,the sword can be disassembled by picking up the two Mekugi (peg).
8&Tsuba sets(sword Guard)：The Tsuba (guard), Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) are made of high quality alloy with exquisite workmanship and fine elaboration.The tsuba is Secured by Two Copper Seppas (Spacer),The Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) are made well match the tsuka for a good habaki(blade collar) and the seppas (Spacer) are made of high quality brass
10&Saya(Sword Scabbard)：The saya is made by dry wood and put them through hacking,slotting,gluing,polishing and shaping treatment,and design proper degree of tightness for the sword blade to enter and out.

(1) A silk sword bag comes with the sword. but the wooden stand in below item pictures is NOT included.

(3) This Katana can be taken apart fully anytime for maintenance purposes, you can disassemble the sword from the handle by taking out two pegs.
