Hal Buellwas aSB2C Dive Bomber pilot on the USS Enterprise. Hal wascreditedwith sinking one Japanese ship by himself and then inflicting major damage to no less than fiveother enemy combat ships including a Japanese aircraft carrier. Hal flew both the SBD and the SB2C in combat many times. He was wounded in combat!

Marine Ace Phillip Delong flew many F4U Corsair fighters in both WWII and in Korea. His squadron was stationed right next to Pappy Boyington's Corsair Squadron.

Cook Cleland also hit a Japanese aircraft carrierwhile flyingthe SBD Dauntless dive bomber at the battle of Santa Cruz. He was wounded in combat! After the war Cook because a famous Air Racer flying F2G Corsairs!

The F6F Hellcat was flown by Navy Ace "Flash" Gordon.
