For those of us with a nostalgic addiction to vintage...and further to pattern and color...this one just takes the cake. A medium to light weight cotton...smooth and gorgeous...it is the coming together of the pattern and colorway that is transportive...for me it takes me back to Miami Beach of the 80's and how the Art Deco district was run down and boarded up...everyone told me to stay out if south beach...yet it was this time that I found my tribe...a small cult of people obsessed with South Beach...some who came in the 40's and never left...living in the crime ridden part of the city...it would have been impossible to think of a renaissance...yet it happened...one by one rainbow flags started popping up beside boarded up buildings and it was hopeful...watching Miami Beach come back has helped me have hope in so many other things.
This offering is for 4.5YDS x 35 inches wide of unused unwashed signed yardage...smooth with no barkcloth texture...instead a straight up cotton...medium to light weight...suitable for drapery...pillows and even light upholstery. A conglomeration of gorgeous cerulean blues with a aquamarine stripe...tons of lively pops of cheery color...chartreuse...dark avocado lime...candied reds...coral red...varied pinks...dark chocolate...and a overwhelming array of teal jadeite greens in the foliage that together with the cerulean blues just makes the pattern JUMP from the fabric. Signed but I can't make it out. Expect flawless original old stock.
