I have listed several c.1914 real photo postcards from the Rio Grande valley area of southern Texas that depict Mexican Revolution soldiers as well as other local scenes. Most were done by the early Harlingen photographer, Phillip Calvin Shockey.

This sale features the following postcard:

c.1914 Shockey Harlingen, TX (7) Rio Grande Valley Mexican Farmers RPPC. Condition varies GOOD to VG overall with some bowing to the cards. ORIGINAL REAL PHOTO POSTCARDS. Most are scarce postcards done by the early Harlingen photographer, Phillip Calvin Shockey. Via Google his name points to a short paragraph on a site titled “Mexico: From Empire to Revolution,”. It reads, “P. C. Shockey was an American photographer who was active in the 1900s and had a studio in Harlingen, Texas. His photographs revealed that he traveled to Mexico and especially Veracruz in 1913, where he covered the United States intervention known as the Veracruz Incident.”
