There is a level of excitement these birdy patterns bring to me...almost all of my heirloom bird patterns are attached to my pop pop and Miami Beach. Doing textile shows at Lincoln Rd and the Art Deco Shows on Ocean Drive...it gave me a lot to take in...especially the escape Miami Beach offers as if you are in another country...the tropical birds are abundant...the birds of paradise and banana leaves are a level of abundance that I just always knew I needed to live one day where these tropical leafy delights grow wild...surrounding and suffocating me with lush foliage...flowers and birds that take me away from here for a spell...detached from the world I seek sometimes to regenerate this heirloom old soul mind.
This offering is for ONE very rare and fabulous and fun textured barkcloth birdy pattern...I call it Birdy's of Miami Beach as I think these colorful parakeets tell the story all on their own...in a way that one would never even have had to step foot in Miami Beach to feel it...to be a part of it...it is all wrapped up in the cotton beauty...the intricate weaves of cottons...the ornate well thought out colorway...every piece of it meant to collaborate on how to reach deep inside your pre frontal cortex and release old soul heirloom serotonin...its what I crave...its my medicine...it is what keeps me sane. A white textured ground with electric chartreuse and orange red...creamy celadon and teal limes...creamy bubble hum pink...creamy dove gray with black accents on creamy white.
