This Limited Edition Print is an exclusive image, captured by Darren Harbar Photography in September 2023.

The Polish Heritage Flight (PHF) was formed on 11th November 2019 to commemorate the role of the Polish Air Force in Britain. The Historic Aircraft Collection Hawker Hurricane is operated by the PHF, and in September 2023, the aircraft was painted to represent two different aircraft from 302 ‘City of Poznan’ Polish Squadron, which were based at RAF Duxford on 15thSeptember 1940. On one side, the Hurricane wears the markings of ‘P2954’ coded WX-E that was flown by Flt Lt Chlopik on this date, who shared the destruction of a Dornier 17, before he was shot down over North Weald. He was sadly killed, despite bailing out of his aircraft. The other side of the aircraft represents ‘P3935’ coded WX-D, which destroyed a Dornier 17 and damaged another on this famous day flown by Wing Commander Julian Kowalski. The 15thSeptember famously became known as Battle of Britain day.

There are just 25 of these A3 (297x420mm) prints that are signed by Darren as the Photographer, along with Clive Denney who is flying the aircraft. Each print is authenticated by a Limited Edition Print security sticker on the back and is supplied in a protective polythene envelope with backing card for support. Prints are dispatched Royal Mail signed for/tracked and can be shipped internationally using the global shipping option. Costs for postage will vary by location.
