This is a nice selection of GREETINGS postcards that would have been sent out for Best Wishes and Friendship. These postcards show WESTERN THEMES, one shows a cowboy riding his horse and twirling a rope with cattle in the background. The other two shows a cowgirl riding her horse with cows in the background. One of these is a NOVELTY postcard and it has SILK attached to her dress, shirt, and hat. The colors of the silk are pink and blue. Not many silk postcards were made becauseof the extra steps needed to produce them. This one is unique and good for a collector. The postcards are EMBOSSED andhave good detail, which makes them pleasing to look at. They are colorful. This is a nice mixture for the collector.

The postcards were published by Samuel Langsdorf(1906-1918).This firm was noted for their nicely illustrated postcards with decorative borders as well as halftone postcards.They printed in Germany during the “Golden Age of Postcards”, and their logo looks like angel wings.

These are good postcards to add to a collection. They wouldappeal to collectors because they capture the style used back in the early 1900s, and provide a \"glimpse of life\" back then. Overall, a niceselection of antique Western Greetings postcards at a reasonable price.

The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates in the 1908 era. These postcards would have been \"Printed in Germany\" during the Golden Age of Postcards (1908-1915). They have DIVIDED backs.

These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition.

Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection.However, because of their age (over 100 years old!), please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear on the postcards.We do not want you to be disappointed.
