3.3" handcarved Malachite gemstone hippopotamus from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa, formerly Zaire. This hippo was intricately hand carved from solid Malachite showing swirling banded and bullseye patterns with light to dark green Malachite. The base of the piece is flat to allow the piece to stand on its own. A fantastic polished carvd Malachite animal for display!
