There is a rare beautiful stone that has captured the hearts of folks from all around the world, the alluring Isle Royale Greenstone. Their dancing patterns and gorgeous blue-green colors will bedazzle the rockhound in everyone.
It was quite the discovery for us to find a dark green rock that looks like nothing more than simple gravel, unaware of what was hiding within. We slowly cut away the outer layer, little by little, delighted with the gorgeous gemstone that the \'simple gravel\' had become. Aside from it\'s bright patterning, what makes this stone so unique is the pink Prehnite \"Poppy\" inclusion, creating an interesting & beautiful scene. A truly high grade Chlorastrolite!
Chlorastrolite is the the scientific name for these bluish green stones, however they are commonly known as \"Isle Royale Greenstone\" as that is the island where they were first discovered. The location is now highly protected and no Greenstones are allowed to be removed from there so all of our Greenstones are ethically & legally obtained from inland Keweenaw Peninsula sources.
