The title "Tanga(淡雅)" for this kokeshi doll means "Elegant".

The wooden base is not original. Presumably it was added by a previous owner.
The word on it is "神宮宇治橋古材(Jingu Ujibashi Kozai)" means "Thewood was used in the Uji Bridge at the Jingu (Ise Jingu) shrine".

The paint above the top of the head has peeled off in several places due to deterioration. The packaging will be more careful. Howeverthey may come off in transit. Please understand this. Please check 2nd and 3rd photo from the Kurasawa is one of Japan's leading oil-painted kokeshi doll artists.
