24.2 oz of rough Banded Chert striped Flint for knapping, Lapidary, tumble Polish, or Shape into amazing Cabochons!!. Beautiful stones,iron hematite banded Chert, Burlington Chert, and fire agate chalcedony. There are grays, cream, reds, yellows, and other beautiful colors mixed together. They have a high silica make up so they have a nice waxy texture perfect for Polishing and tumbling. This Banded chert has tiger eye like qualities when polished up. See last pics for examples of finished pieces.

These are hand selected by me to find the most vibrant striking pieces! Some may be preforms or artifacts. My 2 creeks meet in a meadow that Native Americans Mesquakuie, and Soux, used to mine Burlington Flint from. Our fine flint was traded hundreds of miles away for it\'s fine quality. Which means it has more waxy glassy surface from larger amounts of silicone when the rock was formed.  This creates some translucency also making these stunning stones color more 3 dimensional as well as being strong (8 on mohs scale).

Pictured is the 31oz of mixed chert (2.5+ inch chunks) you will receive if purchased. (with exception to the last example pic) They are naturally broken and tumbled through a sandy Creek. They are amazing for cabbing, and shaping into jewelry pieces.

I believe in knowing and seeing the individual rough stones and gem stones you want to purchase! This means less wasted rocks you will have to toss out, and more of exactly what you\'d like! So please look through the pictures. (Last two pics are what they would look like polished up.
