Here is an original copy of "Trans Blab" the souvenir edition of the 74th Coast Artillery (AA).

Dated May 10, 1943.

We were able to research a couple of the servicemen's names from the staff listings on page 5,

most notably "Paul W. Sylvester."  We located an interesting article in 2008 where Mr. Sylvester describes a visit by Bob Hope in 1943.

This article reveals much information about the 74th in Algeria, North Africa.  Hope visited just 3 months

after this issue was printed.   Surprisingly, the name just below Sylvester's in the Trans Blab is "George Klonarides."

He is mentioned as taking the photo of Bob Hope.

We also were able to find Mr. Sylvester's obit which offers more info.  The research does tell us that

Sylvester was in the 74th Battery C.
