20-Piece Hall Art Deco Soda Fountain Ice Cream ParlorDispensers & Canisters, Very Good Condition

Thislisting is for a 20-piece set of Hall Pottery Soda Fountain Dispensers &Canisters. Included are six (6) large blackceramic dispensers with six (6) chrome & stainless pumps and four (4) smallblack ceramic canisters with four (4) lift-off lids. Thematching Art Deco style set is in very good condition with no significantdamage and wear consistent with age and use.Each ceramic canister can be expected to have some small chips andflakes, mostly along the squared rim.The black gloss glaze is deep and clean with no crazing. There are a few factory glaze defects andsome areas of heavy wear from the original holding racks or shelving. The white interior gloss glaze of the sodafountain jars is clean with only minor staining. The smaller canisters have more interiorstains than the larger ones, but they are relatively few andinsignificant. The potter’s mark iseasily read as “Hall Made in USA B596” on the large jars and on the smallerones, the letters and numerals inside the diamond are not legible.

Thesix (6) large ceramic Hall dispensing jars measure approximately 10 ½” tall (10”to the top of the squared rim) by 4 ½” wide and 7 ½” long. The weight of the canisters varies from about5 lbs., 12 oz. to just over 6 lbs. Thesix (6) working pumps are 13” tall overall with 4” long spouts. The pumps are relatively clean and work well,dispensing liquids with a smooth pump.The lids have visible surface scratches and a few heavier scratches fromnearly 100 years of use and cleaning, none which significantly affect thedisplay. Four (4) printed labels arepresent and all 6 lids have the clear magnifying dome for the labels.

Thefour (4) small ceramic Hall soda fountain canisters measure approximately 7 5/8”tall (7” to the top of the squared rim) by 4 ½” wide and 7 ½” long. The weights of the ceramic jars range from 4lbs., 7 oz. to about 4 lbs., 12 oz. Thelift-off lids are in very good condition with mostly light surface scratchesand a few heavier scratches. The chromeknobs show heavy wear from use, and all have printed labels and magnifyingdomes. Each small soda fountain canisterhas 2 cutouts for the ladles and 1 on the lid.

This ArtDeco Soda Fountain Dispenser set is in very good condition. Manufactured in the 1930’s or 1940’s, theheavy ceramic pieces display well. Shippingis another matter. The set weighs over75 pounds and even with excess packing material, a single shipment is all by certainto arrive damaged. The near antique setwill be sent in multiple shipments, a time consuming and expensive proposition. I am offering free shipping but if you canmeet me within 150 miles or so of Philadelphia, I will be glad to hand the setto you and make it worth the trip!
