These tapers dont have the gold band on the wide end. I’ve seen many like this but I can’t say that it was originally bandless. You are purchasing a pair of tapers to convert a Junior Duofold into a desk pen. Just remove the blind cap and screw on the taper and you’re done. This taper is in excellent condition. No discoloration or wear. If you have a pen missing it’s cap this is a practical way to deal with the situation. These tapers are not easy to source when you need one.
