Here is a very old Dan Kran mask from the Ivory Coast. It is huge and impressive and weighs over five pounds. A very strong feature are the twin long toothy jaws. Much of the surface is covered with leather held by dozens of metal studs.The deep brow sports five loops of tiny ancient glass beads (2 are missing). In 20+ years of buying and selling on I\'ve never seen something like it. Overall brown with some remnant kaolin, the inside of its mouths are red. It is about 22\" long (or tall, depending on how it\'s worn). Surely museum quality. U.S. buyers please. [Boston Primitive]
