Written to \"Dear Sir\". (Edward Gully, Secretary to the Speaker of the House of Commons).
Dated 1898.
\"Will you kindly forward me a ticket for the funeral ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Saturday addressed to Llanwern, Newport, Mon\".
David Alfred Thomas, 1st Viscount Rhondda (1856 – 1918) Welsh industrialist and Liberal politician. Member of Parliament (MP) for Merthyr Tydfil, and later MP for Cardiff. Owner of the Cambrian Collieries.In May 1915 he was on the RMS Lusitania when she was torpedoed. He and his daughter, Margaret, were among the survivors. President of the Local Government Board. Minister of Food Control during the latter part of the First World War.
