Here’s a 1999 armetate metal plate commemorating the annual Carriage Classic in the Pines. This three day event is held at the historic Pinehurst Harness Track in Pinehurst, NC. After the various competitions at the track the event ends on Sunday with a Pleasure Driving Competition traversing the beautiful magnolia lined streets of the Pinehurst Village. The plate has been displayed in my collection and is offered in used condition. It’s in very good overall condition with some light surface scratches as pictured. The plate measures 9 inches in diameter. What I think is so unique about the 1999 plate is the embossed design of the old Pinehurst Fair Barn which appears behind the embossed designed horse drawn carriage. The hallmark on the back of the plate reads “RWP The Wilton Co”. The gold tone plate stand is not included in the sale.
