For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 1999 Parker Duofold Greenwich Special Edition Rollerball Pen. This Parker Duofold comes in the original Greenwich Duofold boxes, Parker literature, and has never been inked - considered New Old Stock in Mint Condition.
The Parker Duofold Greenwich Rollerball Pen is a special edition that was created in 1999 to celebrate the Millennium. The rollerball pen also pays tribute to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England, where the beginning of each new day is traditionally marked at midnight. Parker was the only pen manufacturer authorized to produce an official Greenwich pen, and to use the Greenwich logo, to commemorate the Millennium celebration. There were roughly 3,000 Fountain Pens and 1,000 Rollerballs produced for sale however no limited edition numbers were marked on the pens.
The Greenwich Rollerball Pen is a black Duofold that features a machine-engraved Fougere pattern on its black acrylic cap and barrel. The top of the cap has a special Greenwich emblem embedded in it, while the extra-wide single cap band has "Parker Duofold Greenwich" engraved in all capital letters.
The barrel and cap are gorgeous with gold-plated cap clip and banding. There are no nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs. All of the trim shines brightly with no wear of the gold finish.
The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. This Parker Duofold measures 5 1/4" inches in length capped and 6 3/8" posted. The lower portion of the barrel is stamped with, "PARKER MADE IN U.K. IIN" which is the date code for 1999 in the 2nd Quarter".
The Parker Duofold comes with a brand new rollerball Black refill.
The factory boxes are in excellent condition with no damage. Each box is in Mint condition with no ink stains or damage.
This Parker Greenwich Duofold Special Edition Rollerball Pen sold out pretty quickly when released. Interestingly, the Greenwich was a finalist for best pen in the online Robb Report in 2000. This is a special rollerball pen - we do not see modern Parker with this Chased pattern anymore and this one is truly a work of art.
