This is one of a number of Richmond in North Yorkshire cycling club badges from the famous N.Y. & S.D. cycling club which stands for North Yorkshire & South Durham Cyclists.The club was founded in 1892 and there are some really fabulous badges to collect from these early years. In around 1965 there was a change in the club name and the wording on the enamel badges which became RICHMOND MEET with the year of the badge. Some of these badges I have duplicates of but once they are gone they are gone and they are ideal for anyone collecting the full set.
This badge reads Richmond Meet 1996 with the initials OJB at the bottom. No maker\'s marks.
Badge is in good collectable condition with no pin on the back.
