WestClox Big Ben bedside wind-up alarm Clock, Style 9, designed by Ellworth Danz.
Produced by WestClox the Big Ben, Style 9, started production in October of 1979 and ended in October of 2000. This specific model Clock was shown in their 1990 catalog as being only one of the two models offered without luminous hands and numbers. These two models were offered but only one with a configuration of a white case with a gold-tone bezel, and a white dial with brown numbers. So this piece was produced post-1990. I believe the stamp on the bottom of the clock is a production date of March 13th, 1998.
Made in the United States, this clock\'s Rarity is determined by being the only style 9 Big Ben that was offered from 1979 to 2000 with Brown Numbers (no luminous face & no luminous numbers or hands). The clock is in good to very good condition with only one notable area of damage. This damage is on the top left of the rear of the case, there is a 1/2\" chip out of the case finish. It has no other damage or defects. The clock operates very well and keeps accurate time.
