In 1974 Dorelio Rovera, with his father Angelo, established the Ardor Pipe, name which comes from the \"AR\" (Angelo Rovera) and \"DOR\" (Dorelio Rovera), changing a medium quality level production into a completely handcrafted product, with a very high level of design and finishing. Since then, Ardor has become one of the world\'s premier brands, know for their innovative shapes and superior craftsmanship.

This 1983 Pipe is a more classic shape, but has all the details you expect from Ardor. The stem has a great design and the rustication is everything that you expect. This one was made by Dorelio himself, so you know it is exactly as it should be. It is a beautiful piece and works great as a smoker and as a showpiece in your collection.

The wear a pipe has gained in its life is a patina, a story, its own personal history. Therefore, we do not try to return it to \"like new\" condition. When you buy a pipe from us, you can expect a \"refreshed\" pipe:

• The pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, ready to smoke out of the box.
• The bowl has been reamed, but we leave enough cake so that you do not need to break it in again.
• Stems have been cleaned and sanitized, and vulcanite stems have been de-oxidized and polished. 
• Stems may have some teeth marks.
• When needed, stems are replaced (this will be noted in the description). 
• Any repairs made will be noted in the description and/or title.
• The bowl has been cleaned of previous smoking (\"ghosting\") using the time-tested salt and alcohol method.
• Briar pipes have the char removed from the rim (as possible), and the outside of the pipe has been cleaned, treated with a restoration balm, and buffed with carnauba wax.
