Sitting on the spare room floor with the picture toward the wall to prevent fading, I always love knowing the history about most things I buy or own so here goes: back in the early 70's, mom worked for Bristol~Myers before moving onto Heublein. She then was hired by Jack Daniel's toward the end of that decade and loved going in and visiting her customers, buying them drinks, and enjoying an appetizer and drink for lunch. She has been selling wine for the last 25 years, retiring under duress at almost 83. (she's just turned 88 and would rather be at work!) The company thought because of the fact that she carried openwinein her car and with insurance and all, that it would be the best idea even though she hadn't broken anything, just spraining her ankle when she slipped at our house in her high heeled boots, which she recovered from quickly. (sheattributesall her amazing health to red wine!) Anyway, during one of her trips downtown Chicago in 1979, she was offered a couple of these that were signed by the artist so she bought them and I had them both framed the same. Our kids have no interest so I sold the first one and I have just this one left and it's amazing and honestly, we are downsizing! Measuring about 43"x32 1/2"x3/4", it's a simple yet amazing print of a tree that shows the awesome music of British Rock legends and it really brings back memories as I look at all the artists. Having been sitting here so long, I see a little bug has made its way into the lower part of the glass so I'll try to vacuum it but it may not budge. It always works on the coffee table when something is under the glass but this is sealed. On the bright side, it really makes it one of a kind!! It's a fossilized silverfish and they LOVE paper!! (o: Ready for pick up near Chicago's O'Hare Field, just let me know when you'd like to grab it.(I would say it's a reprint that he made of his original and then hand signed it as I'm sure he has his original) Last picture is one I found online so you can see what it looked like before framing~ excuse the reflections you see that look pink, it's just the window.
**A promise I make that is true since my beginning on back in 1999~ I do not hold items.Once you see the tracking number, the item is taken out of the house to be shipped as I'm first and foremost, excited for you to get your item and secondly, I'm not into clutter. SO, please be patient with our delivery systems as they are overwhelmed and I can certainly speak for our local PO. They're operating on a skeleton crew and UPS also drops everything there for the USPS people to deliver!
