Rover Scouts, Rovers, Rover Scouting or Rovering is a program associatedwith some Scoutingorganizations for adult men and women. A group ofRovers is called a \'Rover Crew\'. The gathering of Rovers is called a Moot.

TheSenior Scoutsectionwas first suggested by Baden-Powellin 1917, but it was soon replaced byRover Scouts, before being restored as a section in the Boy ScoutsAssociationin 1946.In 1967, The Scout Association\'s Advance PartyReport replaced Rover Scoutsand Senior Scouts with the VentureScoutsection. Rovers was originated by TheBoy Scouts Associationin the United Kingdom in 1918 to provide aprogram for young men who had grown up beyond the age range of the Boy Scouts.It was adopted by many other Scouting organisations.

Rovers and Rangers:Rangers, is the equivalent and similar section in the Girl Guidemovement. They had a similar history to Rovers being formed from thesenior section, Senior Guides in 1920. Youth from both organizationswould often participate in joint events called a Rover- Ranger Moot.
