1966 Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Used Time Book - Iowa Lines:

Let's start with the condition which is rather obviously poor but actually has completely legible interior pages. This is a used time keeping book and if it wasn't in this condition then the person wasn't good at keeping time. This person seemed to be religious about keeping this filled out accurately everyday he worked with regular entries for the entire 1966 year. Likely this little book traveled in his pocket on all his trips, and he did have many.
It appears this year started with him working in freight, then passenger trains between Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Minneapolis for a couple of months and then back to freight. Most work with freight trains occurred between Burlington, Iowa and Cedar Rapids.
Time book also has general union information, pay rates, calculators for mileage, etc. The time book has fields for the date, engine #, places traveled to and from, class of service, # of miles and other pay related fields.
FYI - can't seem to find who this actually belonged to, but I don't think he was a conductor or operator.
Book is approx. 4" x 7"
