This listing is for an originalT.B.A. (Talbot, Brooks & Ayer) axe head. Made by Emerson & Stevens Co. of Oakland, Maine.3 1/2 lb. axe head. Marked as shown with the TBA Three Diamond logo.On the face is \'3 1/2\' for the weight. On the underside is \'64\' for the year of manufacture. This was Emerson & Stevens last year of production. Measures 29\" overall long. The head is 6 1/2\" long with a 4 1/8\" wide cutting edge.We have owned very few TBA axe heads in our 30+ years in business.John Stanley Antique Tools is pleased to offer yet again another hard to find Maine axe head for you to add to your collection.
