1960s Blue Floral Motif VTG Otagiri Teapot & 5 Beige Ribbed Cups w/Rattan Handle. The teacups have a footed base, as does the teapot. The interiors are pristine, clear of stain and are all chip free. The lid fits well, and the interior of the teapot includes a loose-tea strainer. The flowers are a deep navy blue, with a dark outline, and yellow centers. The cups and teapot have a gentle ribbed texture, and speckles within the creamy base color. The design on the cups is one sided, while the teapot has a single flower on one side, and the double flower motif, same as the cups, on the other. This set came in with no handle, so we chose this gorgeous, hand crafted iron handle with a braided rattan design with suede detailing, and think it looks quite smart!
